เทเรซา เด เซเปดา อี เด อาฮูมาดา เกิดในตระกูลผู้ดีที่ร่ำรวยของสเปนตั้งแต่เด็กแล้วได้มีแววส่อให้เห็นความโน้มเอียงไปสู่ชีวิตการเพ่งฌาน เธอเป็นคนที่ชอบอ่านบทเขียนของบรรดาปิตาจารย์ และเพราะได้อ่านบทเขียนของ “นักบุญ เยโรม” เธอจึงได้มีกระแสเรียกให้เข้าเป็นนักบวช และได้เข้าอารามคาร์แมลที่บ้านเกิดเมืองนอนของเธอ คือ ที่เมืองอาวีลา ซึ่งขณะนั้นระ เบียบวินัยของคณะรู้สึกไม่เข้มงวดเท่าที่ควรและเธอเองทีแรกก็ปฏิบัติเหมือนนักบวชคนอื่นๆ ก่อนที่ เธอจะได้เริ่มลงมือปฏิรูปครั้งใหญ่โดยมีนักบุญยอห์น แห่งไม้กางเขนเป็นผู้ช่วย เหลือสนับสนุน
นักบุญเทเรซา ได้ลงมือถือปฏิบัติพระวินัยเคร่งครัดที่สุด แม้ว่าเธอจะมีภาระกิจหน้าที่ที่จะปฏิรูปและสร้างอารามแห่งใหม่ๆและแม้จะมีความยากลำบากต่างๆ นานัปการที่เธอจะต้องเผชิญก็ตาม ถึงกระนั้นเธอก็ได้บรรลุถึงชีวิตการ เพ่งฌานขั้นสูงสุด เรื่องนี้เราสามารถพิสูจน์ได้จากงานเขียนของ เธอเอง เช่น “บนหนทางแห่งความครบครันบริบูรณ์” “ปราสาทแห่งชีวิตภาย ใน” “อัตชีวประวัติ” ฯลฯ เธอได้กล่าวว่าชีวิตบำเพ็ญตบะของคริสตชน คือการตอบสนองต่อพระจิตเจ้า พระองค์ทรงทำงานในตัวเราแต่ละคนตั้งแต่เราได้รับศีลล้างบาป เพื่อที่จะช่วยบันดาลเราให้เข้าได้กับรูปแบบแห่งพระบุตรพระเจ้า
และถ้าหากเราจะพิจารณาดูนักบุญ เทเรซา จากทางด้านของมนุษย์เธอก็เป็นสตรี ที่เข้า ใจคนอื่นได้ดี ร่าเริงแจ่มใส มีความเห็นอกเห็นใจผู้อื่นน่ารักแต่ในขณะเดียวกันเธอ เป็นหญิงที่แข็งแกร่ง ไม่ยอมแพ้ง่ายๆ และมีพรสวรรค์ในการจัดการเรื่องต่างๆ เธอได้สิ้น ใจในคืนวันที่ 4 ตุลาคม 1582 ซึ่งเป็นปีเดียวกันนั้นเองที่พระสันตะปาปาเกรกอรี่ที่ 13 ได้ทรงทำการแก้ไขปฏิทินใหม่โดยให้วันรุ่งขึ้นเป็นวันที่ 15 ตุลาคม ดังนั้นการฉลอง หรือ การระลึกถึงเธอ จึงต้องทำกันในวันที่ 15 ตุลาคม ตามปฏิทินใหม่
คำสอนทางด้านชีวิตภายในอันลึกซึ้งของเธอส่วนใหญ่แล้วเราสามารถเทียบได้กับ ของนักบุญออกัสติน และของนักบุญเกรกอรี่ องค์ใหญ่ พระสันตะปาปา ดังนั้นเธอจึงสมควรที่จะได้รับการประกาศยกย่องว่าเป็น “นักปราชญ์ (หญิง) แห่งพระศาสนจักร”จากพระ

กราบสวัสดีพี่น้องทั้งหลาย..ข้า-พระ-เจ้า เขียน: พอดีน้องสาวผมน่าจะได้ล้างบาปในเร็ววันนี้ เลยอยากแนะนำนักบุญให้น้องนะครับ
แต่รู้จักไม่กี่ท่านเองเลยอยากให้ทุกคนช่วยแนะนำพร้อมประวัตินะครับ
ขอบคุณล่วงหน้าครับ
ถ้าไม่เหลือหบ่ากว่าแรง.. ลองไปที่ศาสนภันท์ ซื้อหนังสือ "ประวัตินักบุญตลอดปี" มาประดับบ้าน ประดับจิต ประดับใจ สักเล่มสิ
จะดีมิใช่น้อยเลย.. แล้วค่อยๆใช้เวลา..ไต่ตรอง..และถามใจตัวเอง(หมายถึงน้องสามคุณน่ะ) ว่าอยากจะดำเนินรอยตามหรือเหมือนกับนักบุญท่านไหน
มีจิตตารมณ์ หรือ สโลแกนของท่านได้ ที่ถูกใจเราบ้าง.. ลองตรองและขอให้ถามใจตัวเองดูเถิด..

ครับ ขอบคุณพี่บอยมากครับ ตอนนี้ก็อารมณ์โกรธก็เริ่มๆหายไปแล้วล่ะครับ แต่ผมอยากให้เค้าปรับนิสัยเค้าหน่อย ใครรู้จักกับเค้าก็ช่วยบอกเค้าหน่อยนะครับ
