People say Christians don't care about babies after their born, but that is blatantly false.
First, thanks to Roe/Casey being struck down, faith-based pregnancy centers outnumber abortion clinics in this country 3 to 1.
Most food pantries are run by churches. Most shelters are run by churches. Churches get together and literally just build houses for people. There is even a movement of churches building tiny homes on their property for the homeless to use for free.
And I don't know if you know this, but Christians actually invented the modern hospital.
There were always places to take the sick and wounded - temples of healing gods, and things like that. But the organized hospital, staffed by trained doctors (both male and female, by the way) and nurses, pragmatically evaluating, diagnosing, charting, and treating, was founded by the church.
Christians believe that there will be a resurrection of the dead to eternal life. As St. Paul says, "To live is Christ, to die is gain."
Because we weren't afraid to die, we were the only people who would tend to the sick daily and in person. Eventually, when Christianity was legalized, we made buildings for it.
In the mid 500s, Mother Church used Her wealth to build a hospitals all over the Catholic world.
